The condensing boiler as a standalone product is unlikely to be the end point for gas-based heating in buildings. Lower carbon systems are already emerging, and the pace will quicken. Gas-based distributed generation continues to show potential, supported by the trend towards a more distributed energy system. These technologies will see changing patterns of gas demand, and opportunities for companies to innovate with new customer propositions and business models.
For further information, contact Steven Ashurst, Manager of the Gas Heating Service.
This webinar was held on Wednesday 12th July 2017.
This first webinar from Delta-ee’s Electrification of Heat Service explored the importance of electrically-driven heating to both the heat and electricity sectors, and how convergence between these two industries can contribute to an increasingly decarbonised Europe. Electricity systems stakeholders are increasingly seeking new sources of flexibility, and heat is one of the best, low cost sources, making opportunities in this space especially valuable to the market as a whole.
The webinar is now available to watch on Youtube.
