Entering the Irish Air Source Heat Pump Market
Major automotive engine and vehicle manufacturer

Their need – to identify what, if any, global market opportunity there might be for a range of its standard automotive engines in stationary power applications, with a focus on trigeneration (CHP and cooling) in buildings.  The company used Delta-ee’s research to make investment decisions in relation to product development (adapting the engine for stationary power applications) and marketing (which countries and global regions to prioritise).  The client also required a detailed technical understanding of the cost and performance characteristics of gas engine based trigen systems as compared to conventional air conditioning and chilling products.

What Delta-ee provided – we provided detailed deployment forecasts for 12 major global markets (including Brazil, Australia, Japan) to 2030 together with a product-by-product cost & performance comparison to enable payback calculations to be made and thus an estimate of likely future market share for the company’s trigen systems.
