Delta Micro-Wind Multi-Client Study

Small wind turbines have been manufactured for many years, but there is rapidly growing interest in using them for residential applications – and in particular mounting them on buildings. The concept is exciting – offering millions of households a very visible way to generate their own electricity. With developers targeting prices of around £1,000 (€1,470) for a 1 kW unit, the product might appeal to a large proportion of home and building owners.

This Delta Study, published in April 2006, helps utilities, investors, micro-wind manufacturers and other stakeholders understand the potential market for roof-top wind turbines. The Study focuses on the UK opportunity, but looks globally at products and current market status. It comes in two parts, available for purchase separately.
